GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
- Student Responsibility:
- Always wear the School ID card.
- Follow the timetable and bring the necessary books/notebooks.
- Complete homework independently unless guidance is needed.
- Parental Involvement:
- Regularly check the school diary and sign any teacher’s remarks.
- Attend PTA meetings to stay updated on the child’s progress.
- Provide a proper study environment and ensure that homework is prioritized.
- If homework is not completed, inform the class teacher with a valid reason.
- Encourage reading or outdoor games over excessive TV viewing.
- Refrain from accompanying children to classrooms or sending lunch boxes during school hours.
- School Norms:
- Avoid meeting teachers during school hours unless permitted by the principal.
- Ensure children don’t bring inappropriate materials to school.
- Do not allow children to bring gifts except for birthday celebrations, where students from Class VI and up should still wear their uniform.
- Ensure children wear neat, clean, and well-fitted uniforms, with specific requirements for girls’ skirt lengths.
- Safety and Discipline:
- Notify the school of any changes in address or contact numbers.
- Ensure junior students bring a fruit for the school’s “fruit break.”
- Do not provide mobile phones to students, as they will be confiscated with a heavy fine if found.
- Technology Management:
- Monitor internet use to avoid misuse, and share email accounts and passwords with children. Keep computers in a family space.
- General Advice:
- Encourage a balance between academics, co-curricular activities, and sports.
- Avoid criticizing teachers in front of students.
- Refrain from giving regular pocket money and focus on providing healthy, home-cooked food.
- Ensure children get at least 8 hours of sleep.
- Communication:
- Acknowledge school circulars and use the “Leave Record” form when applying for leave or explaining absences.
